On the 30 Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, I convey
my best wishes to President Emomali Rahmon and the Tajik peop-
le. As Honorary Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan, it is an honor
and a pleasure for me to have been a bridge between Hamburg
and Schleswig-Holstein and this young and emerging country since
September 30, 2013. And I am highly motivated to continue accom-
panying the country’s path, strengthening existing bridges and buil-
ding new ones. After all, with its strengths in the fields of renewable
energies – especially with its hydrogen competence, industry, food
industry, foreign trade, and tourism – Northern Germany offers the
best conditions for making a sustainable contribution to strengt-
hening bilateral relations. Happiness, peace, and good luck! We look
forward to a continued good and trusting cooperation!

Warmest congratulations from Nowruz-City Hamburg
The Nowruz country Tajikistan celebrates its 30th independence on Sep-
tember 9th! The Nowruz-Forum – Association for Economic and Cultu-
ral Dialogue sends its warmest congratulations from Nowruz-City Ham-
burg. Our association is enthusiastic about the more than 3000 years
old Nowruz culture of Tajikistan, whose passing on to the younger gene-
ration is cultivated and promoted by President Emomali Rahmon. After
all, the festival stands for a new beginning, hope and peace! And we are
grateful for the cooperation, support, and participation of Tajikistan in
our annual Nowruz celebrations in Hamburg for the purpose of building
bridges between the Nowruz countries, the largest Nowruz communi-
ty in the European Union with over 170,000 celebrants, and the other
Hamburg residents. We look forward to further good cooperation!
