Climate: Tajikistan has dry- continental climate with large
differences in various areas. In Khatlon region the temperature WELCOME
changes from hot dry deserts, to the harsh cold weather, in
the eastern Pamirs ( minimum -63 ). Principal amount of
precipitate is from December to March.
Water resources: Tajikistan ranks second places among CIS
water. We have more than 1000 rivers,2000 lakes and 8000
glaciers. The area of glaciers in Tajikistan accounts for
approximately 50% of all glaciers in the Central Asia. The largest
mountain in the world, glacier Fedchenko, is located in Pamirs,
Tajikistan.
